Come enjoy the Prince William County Fair's New & Improved
Chocolate Challenge!
Enter your own delicious chocolate confections or just come by the post-judging bake sale to sample some of the best cakes and cookies in Prince William County! All proceeds from the bake sale will go to the Prince William Chapter of the American Red Cross . And remember, eating chocolate is guilt-free if it supports a worthy cause!

ADULT CHOCOLATE CHALLENGE RULES:
1.)One entry per person
2.)Entry must be a baked dessert made from "scratch" in a non-returnable baking dish/tray.
3.)A minimum of 1/4 cup of cocoa must be used.
4.)Dessert entry must be submitted on cardboard for judging (no doily required).
5.)Two copies of recipe(s) listing the ingredients, preparation instructions, and recipe author must be submitted with the entry, printed on one side of the page.
YOUTH CHOCOLATE CHALLENGE RULES:
1.)Open to any individual, age 19 and under.One entry per person.
2.)Entry must be made from "scratch" in a non-returnable baking dish/tray.
3.)A minimum of 1/4 cup of cocoa or baking chips (any variety) must be used.
4.)Cookie, brownie, and bar entries should include entire tray.
5.)Two copies of recipe(s) listing the ingredients, preparation instructions, and recipe author must be submitted with the entry. Please do not include entrant name on recipe(s).
Judging in both contests will be based on the following criteria:

Registration: Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. No late entries will be accepted.
Judging*: Immediately following registration at 3:00 p.m. in the Block Building, see Mapfor location.. All contest participants (with entries) will be admitted at Gate 4 between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
Awards: Winners will be announced and awards handed out at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Bake Sale: Samples of entries will be sold in the Block Home Arts Building beginning at 4:30 p.m; see Mapfor location.
